TREE SERIES – Dancing in the Light I and II

These two additions to my Tree Series were an absolute delight to create. I started with a watercolour wash on paper, which was then mounted to cradled panels. This was all about creating negative shape, and playing with colour. Instead of actually painting the tree shapes, most of the focus was on painting the sky – until near the very end.
